You will find that we are a
very diverse company and we have far
ranging interests.
Maybe we
are a "Renaissance Company" in the true meaning of "The Renaissance
Man" that you always hear people talking about. Defined as "a scholar
during the Renaissance who (because then knowledge was limited) could
know almost everything about many topics. Personally we think that the
term often comes into use when people are bemoaning the fact that there
are no renaissance men left in the world. Some people explain this by
saying that during the Renaissance, it was easier to be an expert in
all fields, as the total sum of knowledge was considerably smaller than
it is today. And that since there is much more material to be known in
any one field today, broad coverage at any sort of expert level is
simply impossible.
We
are
more inclined to use a different definition: An
individual (man or woman) with very diverse and wide ranging interests
who has
and is diligently pursuing all available knowledge around those
interests and
is in fact an expert in those areas of interest.
With
that said our goal is to provide you
access to information on a wide range of subjects in which we have a
genuine interest. These range from the obvious Internet related
subjects
to Wine, Music,
Cooking, Golf & much more. We are NOT experts in
all of these areas but we will endeavor to put you in touch with
individuals who are.
The sole purpose of this page is to provide
a directory to the website, pages & blogs that we maintain.

Osama bin Laden is DEAD

DC – May 1, 2011 - Osama bin Laden, the world's most wanted
terrorist, was killed
in Pakistan as the result of a U.S. military operation, President Obama
announced from the East Room in the White House late Sunday night.
“I
can report to the American people and to the world that
the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin
Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for
the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children,” said
Obama.
Just months before the 10th anniversary of the September 11
attacks on the U.S., for which al Qaeda led by Bin Laden had taken
responsibility, Obama said "Justice has been done."
“Today, at my direction, the United States launched a
targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan,"
Obama said.
"A small team of Americans carried out the operation with
extraordinary courage and capability,” Obama said, adding, “No
Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian
casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and
took custody of his body.”
Al Qaeda also took responsibility for the bombings of U.S.
embassies in 1998 in Tanzania and Kenya. More than 200 people were
killed in the attacks. Al Qaeda also claimed responsibility for the
suicide bombing of the U.S. Cole in 2000 while it was harbored
and refueling in the Yemeni port of Aden. The blas t killed 17
servicemen, injuring 39.
Senior US officials initially told news agencies that bin
Laden's body was disposed of at sea and in accordance with Islamic
tradition.
